My wife is somewhat of a book wh@re when it comes to the topics of ”How To….” We have books and magazines on everything. When we first brought Murphy home she bought books by the truck load on raising a dog, when we decided to remodel our home she headed straight to the local book store, when she got interested in gardening/landscaping she bought more books, when she started knitting she bought even more. Guess what, she recently joined a monthly book club so of course you know what that means by now. Our bookcase(s) are so overloaded that I’m afraid to even go near them if by chance they collapse from the sheer weight.
I can always tell where my wife has nested in our home. Our coffee table is littered with so many books that many times I cannot see its surface. Our TV room is covered in books as well. Books, books and more books spread around a 5-foot radius, toppled upon one another like an explosion went off. Her side of the bedroom is littered with magazines and books as well. There have been nights when I’ve rolled over to be met by her latest subject.
Her quest for more books started immediately upon finding out she was pregnant. Everything from “Mayo Clinic: Guide to Health Pregnancy”, “Girlfriends Guide to Baby Gear” and “What to Expect when You’re Expecting.” These are just a few off-the-top of my head. Visit our bookstore and you’ll see what I mean. We own them all and she swears that we need every single last one of them. I'm not sure what I can do to curtail her lust for books and I'm not sure I would be successful in doing so. Maybe I should just join her.
"Hey Honey, where's that book on building a wall bookcase?"
